Who says you need a Chorus?

So there we were, on a Thursday night, jamming out a tune that we'd come to enjoy. It had a poppy, upbeat feel to it, and it seemed like we all automatically knew what to play over which parts.

... then came some lyrics Tony had been beating around that seemed to work really well over the verse sections of the song.

So what was left to do?

Well, some would say, "Now, you should write the lyrics for the chorus!".

To this we say, SCREW YOU! We don't need no stinkin' Chorus! We'll just contrast the guitar parts, get really excited, jump around a bit, and if I'm feeling a bit conformist, I might just turn on my "Chorus" pedal!
